OP announces bidding for TV units, gift items

MANILA, Philippines - The Office of the President has invited suppliers to bid for P16.5-million woth of  items and equipment, including large screen television units and gift items.

In three separate announcements posted at gov.ph, the OP said the bidding  is open to Phil-GEPS (Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System) registered manufacturers, suppliers, dealers, automotive manufacturer and authorized franchised dealers.

The biggest budget, P7.2 million, is alloted for the acquisition of six units of escort motorcycles  and accessories, followed by P2.755-million allotted for the delivery of hardware and construction supplies of 26 pieces of cremone bolt and two other items for Kalayaan Hall.

Meanwhile, the OP is also seeking to acquire 20 units of 32-inch color LED TV units with a combined contract price of P500,000.

Gift items with a combined worth of about P1.09 million are also included in the bidding announcements. The gift items would be given by the president to the heads of state and visiting foreign dignitaries.

The deadline for the submission of the bid/tender documents/forms is on Thursday, March 14. Opening of the bids will be held  on the same day.

"Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures using a non-discretionary 'pass/fail' criterion as specified in the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act 9184, otherwise known as the 'Government Procurement Reform Act'. Bids received in excess of the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) shall be automatically rejected at bid opening," the announcement said.
