Dennis Carcamo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) announced Thursday its agents have arrested a former policeman and a fireman in a drug raid in Bula, Camarines Sur.

PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspects former Police Officer 2 Bienvenido Amador, 50, who went absent without leave and Fire Officer 3 Fernando Tique, 44. Also arrested was Hazel Antioquia, 26.

Reports showed that operatives from the PDEA Regional office 5 and local policemen served the search warrants against Amador in his house in Barangay Salvacion where they seized a sachet of shabu and several drug paraphernalia.

The PDEA said Amador is also facing a case of illegal possession of firearms.

It said that the fireman and Antioquia were in Amador's house during the raid.
