3 Chinese drug suspects 'abducted ' in Cavite

A group of heavily-armed men on Wednesday reportedly forcibly taken three Chinese suspects facing illegal drug raps while the latter and their escorts were on their way to a court hearing in Cavite, police said.

Calabarzon regional police director Superintendent Benito Estipona said around 20 gunmen snatched Chinese Li Tian Hua, Wang Li Na and Li Lan Yan while being escorted by four provincial guards to attend a court hearing at the court of Trece Martires City around 10 a.m.

Reports said the gunmen also took the handguns of the two guards and escaped on a white van (WTT-544), which was later found abandoned in Brgy. Aguado, Trece Martires.

Police are still conducting a follow up operation on the incident.
