BAGUIO CITY, Philippines -- Twenty-eight-year old Edmund Prades from San Roque, in Santiago town in Ilocos Sur was killed when his motorcycle rammed a sports utility vehicle along the national highway in Narvacan town, also in Ilocos Sur Tuesday.
Police said Prades overtook a trailer truck but failed to evade the speeding SUV driven by Leopoldo Bernardez, 48, from Agtangaw, Bangued, Abra’s capital town.
Although Bernardez tried to maneuver, the motorcycle still hit the SUV.
Bernardez reportedly surrendered to policemen in Narvacan. - Artemio Dumlao
