Cops clueless on slay try vs mayor

LAOAG CITY, Philippines – Investigators are still clueless on the slay attempt on Marcos, Ilocos Norte Mayor Salvador Pillos last Monday afternoon.

Pillos was shot while inspecting a project in his town by two motorcycle-riding men. He sustained gunshot wounds in the arm and leg but was declared out of danger a day later. 

Senior Superintendent Gerardo Ratuita, provincial police director, said his men were still checking the real owner of the motorcycle now, as its previous owner returned it to the dealer which, in turn, resold it to someone who apparently used a fictitious name.
