British national cries rape vs Boracay dreadlocks maker

MANILA, Philippines - A Filipino offering dreadlocks services in Boracay was arrested over a rape complaint filed by a 23-year-old British national.

A report by Bombo Radyo said that the 23-year-old female British national filed the rape complaint against 36-year-old Carlos San Jose of Quezon City. The complaint was filed before the Aklan Regional Trial Court on Monday.

The British national claimed that San Jose raped her in her rented room at a resort hotel on Boracay Island last January 26.

She said that before the rape, she and the suspect dined and had a drinking session at a restaurant.

The suspect has been arrested by the local police and is now detained at the Aklan Rehabilitation Center.
