Number of dead Filipinos in Algeria hostage crisis rises to 7

MANILA, Philippines - One more Filipino was confirmed dead in the Algeria hostage rescue that ended in a bloody clash between militants and Algerian security forces.

At a briefing, Raul Hernandez, DFA spokesperson said the Filipino was identified by Algerian and Philippine authorities and the victim  was among those earlier reported to be missing.

The DFA has yet to release the names of the seven Filipino contract workers that were killed during the rescue.
