MANILA, Philippines - The National Wages and Productivity Commission yesterday said workers in the Mimaropa region are getting an increase of P5 to P66 in their daily take-home pay by the end of this month.
The new wage order pegged the daily minimum wage rate in non-agriculture areas in Puerto Princesa, Palawan at P275, including P5 cost-of-living allowance, and in agricultural areas, P225. Firms employing not more than 10 employees shall grant a daily wage of P215.
Those employed in non-agricultural areas in Calapan City and Puerto Galera in Mindoro and workers in El Nido and Coron in Palawan will get P270, and workers in agricultural areas, P225. Employers in first-class Mimaropa towns shall pay between P215 and P260.
