San Pablo City cop chief sacked over unsolved crimes

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – The chief of police in San Pablo City was relieved over a string of unsolved crimes in his area of jurisdiction, an official said yesterday.

Superintendent Erickson Dilag replaced Superintendent Carlos Barde, Chief Superintendent James Melad, Calabarzon police director, said.

Barde was assigned to the Laguna police command.

Melad cited the ambush-slay of Councilor Edgardo Adajar and his bodyguard, Rolando Leonardo, two weeks ago in Barangay Concepcion in San Pablo City as among the unsolved crimes in Barde’s turf.
