Dennis Carcamo - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Various medical teams deployed along the route of the procession of the Black Nazarene image have treated a total of 164 people before 2 p.m. today.

A radio report said out of the figure, only six sustained minor injuries while the rest experienced high blood pressure.

Other devotees were treated after they fell from the carriage of the image, the report added.

Meanwhile, procession organizers expect the image will arrive inside the Quiapo Church around 9 p.m. tonight.

The wooden Black Nazarene statue left the Quirino Grandstand in Manila around 7:30 a.m. after the Holy Mass celebrated by Manila Archbishop Antonio Cardinal Tagle.
