200K devotees join Black Nazarene procession

MANIILA, Philippines - Around 200,000 devotees have joined the procession of the Black Nazarene on Wednesday, police said.

The Manila Police District Tactical Operations Center said the hundreds of thousands have followed the procession which started around 8 a.m. at the Quirino Grandstand.

The religious procession is expected to end at Quiapo Church today.

Meanwhile, reports said that as of 9 a.m., the Philippine Red Cross has treated a total of 103 people, 62 of whom sustained minor injuries.

Reports added that one was treated for serious injury while another was brought to a hospital.

Meanwhile, a PRC medical team also reported that they have admitted and treated at least 10 people who fainted during the procession.
