BACOLOD CITY , Philippines – The brother of Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia was found dead with a bullet wound in the head in his room in Silay City, Negros Occidental Saturday morning.
Andres Leonardia, 62, a widower, was running for Bacolod councilor in the May elections under the party of three-termer Mayor Leonardia, who is running for congressman.
Supt. Arturo Francisco, Silay City police chief, ruled that it was a case of accidental firing as there was nothing to show that there was foul play or that it was a suicide.
