Michelle Zoleta - The Philippine Star

CATANAUAN, Quezon, Philippines – Twenty-four people, mostly children, sustained injuries when the jeepney they were riding smashed into a passenger bus along the Bondoc Peninsula Highway here early Thursday morning, police said.

The injured included a three-month-old baby boy who suffered abrasions on the face and legs, according to reports reaching the provincial police command.

The Superlines bus, according to the reports, was on the highway’s northbound lane waiting for passengers when the jeepney on the opposite direction rammed it.

The jeepney driver, Edison Maquiniana, 44, and one of his passengers were reportedly pinned inside the vehicle.
