1 dead, 4 hurt in road mishap in Ilocos Sur

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A seven-year-old boy was killed when the tricycle he was riding with his father and three siblings was hit by a van along a national highway in  Barangay Mabibila Sur in Santa, Ilocos Sur last Sunday.

Police identified the victim as Nimas Gacutan Jr. The boy’s father,  Nimas Sr., and siblings Gerald, Jeremy and Marife remain in critical condition at a hospital.

Police said the tricycle was thrown several meters away.

The driver of the van escaped.
