Illegal drugs eyed in Batangas slay

MANILA, Philippines - Police are eyeing illegal drugs in the killing of a woman and two men whose bodies were found in a burning car in San Pascual, Batangas last Sunday.

Documents found in the house of one of the victims, Farah Alarcon Partolero, 35, recorded daily drug deals worth P10,000.

The two other victims were identified as Herschel Cauntay, 31, and John Patrick Dastas, 27.

Cauntay was identified by his wife through his denture, and Dastas, by his mother.

Police could not say if the three were stabbed or shot dead.

Last Sunday morning, San Pascual police responded to a report on a burning Toyota Rav 4 which later yielded the victims’ bodies.
