TV crew hurt in Bicol road mishap

MANILA, Philippines - Three crewmembers of ABS-CBN television network in Bicol were hurt when the van they were riding hit a car at around 10:20 p.m. on Sunday in Barangay San Ramon, Pamplona Camarines Sur, police reported yesterday.

The victims were identified as reporter Jonathan Magistrado, cameraman Pio Ponada and van driver Wilfredo Raborar Jr.

Magistrado had minor bruises while Ponada and Raborer remain confined at the Bicol Medical Center (BMC) in Naga City for injuries in different parts of the body.

Initial police investigation showed that the van was on its way back to Naga City from Daet, Camarines Norte when it slid due to the slippery road and hit a car driven by one Julius Chavez.
