Napolcom donates Christmas party fund to cops affected by Pablo
MANILA, Philippines - The National Police Commission (Napolcom) donated on Thursday its P108,680 Christmas party fund to members of the Philippine National Police who have been affected by typhoon Pablo in Mindanao.
Napolcom Vice Chairman Eduardo Escueta said the donation was in line with the order of Interior and Local Government Secretary and Napolcom Chairman Mar Roxas for all DILG line agencies to donate their funds intended for Christmas parties to the typhoon victims.
Escueta said Roxas suggested that the Napolcom donation be given to police officers affected by Pablo to also show that the Commission is always looking after the welfare of the members of the PNP.
Escueta directed newly installed PNP chief, Director General Allan Purisima to identify the beneficiaries of the Napolcom donation.
“All Napolcom regional directors are likewise enjoined to follow suit and donate their Christmas party allowance to the police victims of typhoon Pablo in Mindanao,” Escueta said.
Escueta said that the donated amount represents the 2012 Christmas celebration allowance of 418 officials and employees and other personnel rendering services to the Napolcom central office in Makati City.
