Pangasinan election registrars face reshuffle
DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines – About 19 election registrars and their assistants from different towns and cities in this province will be reshuffled in preparation for next year’s elections.
Marino Salas, Pangasinan provincial election supervisor, said he sent a list of those to be affected by the reorganization to the Commission on Elections central office last week.
Salas said those who have served a particular area for four years will be affected by the reshuffle.
Last month, Remarque Ravanzo, election officer of Dagupan City, swapped posts with Lingayen election registrar Ericson Organiza.
Salas said Pangasinan election officials who are related by up to fourth degree of consanguinity or affinity to any candidate in their area would be assigned to other towns or cities.
“This is to ensure impartiality,” he said.
