Globe opens free call facility to typhoon 'Pablo' victims
MANILA, Philippines -- Local telecommunications company Globe Telecom has opened its first "Libreng Tawag" (free call) facility to help victims of typhoon Pablo get in touch with their loved ones.
The Libreng Tawag center is located in Compostela Municipal Hall, Poblacion, Compostela Valley.
Globe said affected families may make local and international calls as well as send text messages free of charge.
Compostela Valley is one of the worst-hit areas in Mindanao, with around 140 people dead and thousands left homeless.
