The Philippine Star

ZAMBOANGA CITY - An instructor at a university was arrested on Thursday in a buy-bust operation after peddling shabu to student in this city, police said.

Chief Inspector Elmer Acuña, Police Station 6 commander, identified the suspect as Marvin Pausani Iladja, 24, a criminology instructor.

Acuña said Iladja fell from the entrapment operation after a student posed as buyer outside the campus in Barangay Tetuan about 6 p.m. Thursday.

“The suspect made the transaction within the vicinity of the university campus to the student who acted as buyer,” Acuña said.

The police recovered from Iladja a medium-size heat-seal plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu and a P1,000.00 bill.

The suspect was brought to the court for inquest proceedings and temporarily detained at Tetuan police station.
