Materials for explosives found

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – Authorities recovered last Monday a huge cache of materials used in making explosives abandoned in Barangay Mahaba, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte.

Reports said a concerned citizen informed the city police that a driver of a tractor said to be owned by a mining firm abandoned the materials in a remote mining village.

A joint police-Army team found 10 sacks of ammonium nitrate, 10 boxes of superdyne explosives, a roll of fuse wire, 10 helmets, five safety vests, and two raincoats.
