Man beheads ma

MANILA, Philippines - A man allegedly beheaded his 70-year-old mother inside their house in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, police said yesterday.

Senior Inspector Roberto Mansueto, Moises Padilla police chief, said the head of Nenita Aguirre was found on a table beside a Christmas tree at around 6:30 a.m. yesterday.

Aguirre’s son, Jojie, 38, was arrested after Wilfredo Semillano, 45, a neighbor of the victim, reported the incident.

PO3 Deogracias Teope III said he found a 22-inch bolo with bloodstains on a chair near the table.

The suspect is allegedly suffering from depression after his wife and children left him for being alcoholic.
