Glitch halts LRT-2 operation

MANILA, Philippines - The operation of the Light Rail Transit line 2 was temporarily disrupted on Monday after one of the trains malfunctioned, a spokesman said.

Lawyer Hernando Cabrera said LRT2 personnel declared a Code Red around 9:02 am after the train lost traction approaching Legarda station in Manila.

Code Red means all trains to stop or hold position and no passengers to enter, Cabrera said.

The code red was lifted around 9:24 am.

"The trains are back to running status at 9:24 am," Cabrera added.
