Search for 2 miners stopped

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said search and retrieval operations for two miners believed killed in a dynamite explosion in a tunnel in Paracale, Camarines Norte last Nov. 20 have been stopped due to futile attempts to find them. The body of a third miner was earlier found.

Raffy Alejandro, OCD Bicol regional director, said the order to discontinue the search and retrieval operations was given by Paracale Mayor Jesus Moreno last Friday.
