The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Anti-narcotics agents arrested a 31-year-old farmer for selling 2.5 grams of shabu to an undercover agent during a buy-bust operation in Polomolok, South Cotabato, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Thursday.

PDEA chief Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspect as Jose Jumamoy, of Klinan 6, Polomolok, South Cotabato.

Jumamoy was arrested by PDEA operatives during a sting operation last November 20 in Barangay Magsaysay, Polomolok after selling a plastic sachet of shabu worth over P20,000 to a PDEA poseur-buyer.

Agents also seized from Jumamoy two P500 marked bills and 19 pieces of P,1000-boodle money which were used by the undercover agent during the transaction.

Jumamoy will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Dennis Carcamo
