Oldest Pinoy bishop dies at age 92

MANILA, Philippines - The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) yesterday said the country’s oldest prelate died last Tuesday at the age of 92.

The CBCPNews, the official news service provider of the CBCP, said emeritus San Pablo Bishop Pedro Bantigue died two months before his 93rd birthday.

The St. Claire of the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Face of Jesus, which Bantigue founded, said the bishop passed away at around 2:45 p.m. last Tuesday at the Intensive Care Unit of the San Pablo Medical Center.
