Dead man in ‘road mishap’ turns out to be slay victim

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines  – What was first thought to be an ordinary highway accident turned out to be a killing after a 44-year-old man was found dead in his tricycle along the provincial road in Iguig, Cagayan on Saturday.

SPO1 Wilfredo Barizo, Iguig police investigator, said the body of Pepito Langcay turned out to be riddled with bullets.

It was Iguig Vice Mayor Ferdinand Trinidad who informed the police after finding the tricycle beside the road’s shoulder, thinking it was an accident.

Authorities are still clueless on the killing.
