No leads yet on snatched Zambo teacher

The Philippine Star

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines– The military and police have launched a search and rescue operation for a public school teacher recently kidnapped by eight armed men from her house, but still have failed to gather any leads on her whereabouts.

Col. Glen Macasero, Task Force Zamboanga commander, said the search have been widened to locate Flordeliza Ongchua, head teacher of a public school in Barangay Labuan, who was taken at gunpoint by men who disguised themselves as military personnel.

The kidnappers spared Ongchua’s daughter and took her onboard a “jungkong,” a Malaysian-designed flatbed motorboat equipped with a 60-mm caliber on its bow.          – Roel Pareño
