The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – European Union representatives, Education Secretary Armin Luistro and Commission on Higher Education Chair Patricia Licuanan headed on Wednesday an education fair aiming to boost opportunities for Filipinos aspiring to further their studies in Europe.

The Erasmus Mundus: European Higher Education Fair 2012, held at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati, City, aims to promote higher education learning in Europe by exposing Filipino students to leading universities in the continent.

Luistro called on ilipino students to continue their higher education overseas, especially in the European countries and come back to apply their knowledge for the advancement of the nation.

For her part, Licuanan said universities in the Philippines have partnerships with European universities not only for formal education but to expose local and foreign students to culture as well.
