BAGUIO CITY, Philippines – Riding-in-tandem assassins continue their killing spree in the Ilocos region as another one was killed on Monday.
Seventy-eight-year-old farmer Severino Asuncion, a resident of Guimod Norte in San Juan was fetching his daughter Madelyn aboard a tricycle when the motorcycle-riding assassins approached and pumped three bullets into his head along the road in Barangay Bacsil, in the said town.
The farmer’s daughter was spared.
San Juan police said they only have one detail to start with – that the assassins were aboard a Honda TMX motorcycle.
The farmer’s killing is the latest among the long list of killings by assassins in the Ilocos region, which was tagged by the Philippine National Police as having the most number of “private armed groups” in Northern Luzon as of late.
