Kidnap gang head eludes arrest; 2 henchmen fall

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – A leader of a notorious syndicate tagged in the kidnapping of Irish priest Fr. Michael Sinnott three years ago, escaped arrest but two of his henchmen were captured by military intelligence and police operatives in Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur last Thursday afternoon.

The two captured suspects were identified as Montasser Mangoda Ratarta, alias Totongan, and Rachmodin Vel Andih, alias Den, followers of lost command and kidnap gang leader Amie Andih.
