Broadcast journalist shot dead in Cabanatuan

MANILA, Philippines - A broadcast journalist was shot and killed in Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija province on Thursday morning, police said.

Police Officer 2 Fernando Cacayurin of the Cabanatuan City police office identified the slain journalist as Julius Causon, 51, an anchor at the AM radio dwJJ.

Cacayurin said Causon was shot dead by a lone gunman riding a Honda motorcycle at around 8:30 a.m.

The victim was declared dead on arrival at the Good Samaritan Hospital.
