‘Quarrying, black sand mining rampant in Sariaya villages’

LUCENA CITY, Philippines – Quezon Vice Gov. Vicente Alcala exposed in a local radio interview on Monday morning rampant illegal quarrying and black sand mining activities in some villages in Sariaya town. 

Alcala, who is running for second district congressman of Quezon, blamed the negligence of some officials of the Provincial Mining Regulatory Board and Department of Environment and Natural Resources for the unabated illegal activities in Barangays Kiling and Bignay 2.
