Calungsod image to stay overnight at Basilica Minore

MALOLOS CITY, Philippines – The image of Saint Pedro Calungsod will be brought for an overnight stay at the Basilica Minore, formerly known as the Malolos Cathedral, here on Tuesday.

This is part of the month-long “Duaw Nasud” or visit to the nation of the pilgrim image which was blessed by Pope Benedict XVI on Oct. 21 in Rome.

The statue arrived here last Oct. 25. Father Dars Cabral, head of the Commission on Social Communications of the Diocese of Malolos, said the pilgrim image will arrive at the basilica at 3 p.m.

The statue will be transferred to Manila after a Mass at  6 a.m. on Wednesday.
