The Philippine Star

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya , Philippines – Three people died while three others were critically injured when their car slammed into a concrete waiting shed in Batac City, Ilocos Norte just before midnight Thursday, reports said.

The fatalities were identified as Rosevelt Ranada, Rogel Agdeppa and Arnel Macadaeg, who were all declared dead on arrival at the city’s Don Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Their three companions, Meynard Mendoza, a certain Pasaraba and the driver, Fred Oasay Jr., were reportedly still in unstable condition.

Superintendent Jeffrey Gorospe, civil relations chief of the Ilocos Norte police, said the car was traveling at high speed when it rammed the waiting shed, causing it to roll over and eventually slamming into a mango tree along the national highway. – Charlie Lagasca, Raymund Catindig, Teddy Molina
