Pangasinan local officials rally behind Espino-led NPC party
Lingayen, Philippines – “We are stronger this time than during the 2010 elections because the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) is fully supported by over 90 percent of Pangasinan’s incumbent officials.”
Thus said Gov. Amado Espino Jr. during the oath taking of NPC candidates in the second district here last Friday.
Earlier in the day, the NPC conducted a grand slate proclamation and mass oath taking of local leaders in the province’s first district at the Celeste compound in Alaminos City.
Espino vowed to extend his support to all NPC candidates, saying their victory would mean continuous progress for the province.
NPC provincial chairman Mark Cojuangco, former fifth district congressman, dubbed the oath taking as a “merger of titans and common interests.”
Coquangco was assisted by Espino, Vice Gov. Ferdinand Calimlim Jr., together with Reps. Jesus Celeste and Napoleon Fontelera Jr. for the first district, and Rep. Leopoldo Bataoil and board member Raul Sison for the second district.
