S. Kudarat mayor to run for governor in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – The supposed “engineer” of the overwhelming victory in Maguindanao of President Aquino in the 2010 presidential election filed yesterday his certificate of candidacy for governor of Maguindanao.

Sultan Kudarat Mayor Hadji Tucao Mastura, provincial chairman of the Partido ng Demokrating Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan, and his running-mate, Kagui Ali Midtimbang, were accompanied to the provincial office of the Commission on Elections by Maguindanao 2nd District Rep. Simeon Datumanong.

Mastura’s nephew, Dustin, Maguindanao’s incumbent vice governor, also filed his candidacy for the 27-member Regional Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
