Romblon mayor's son found dead

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A 16-year-old son of a Romblon town mayor was found dead with a gunshot wound in the head on Thursday morning, according to a police report.

A police investigation was underway to determine if there was foul play in the death of Pete Gerard Montojo, son of Romblon town Mayor Gerard Montojo, or it was a case of suicide.

Before the incident, the young Montojo reportedly sent a text message to one of his classmates. He was found dead under a bridge in Romblon town. A .40-caliber was found near his body.
