- Sandy Araneta - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The National Bureau of Investigation arrested four persons posing as NBI agents during a recent entrapment operation in Cavite.

NBI Director Nonnatus Caesar Rojas identified the suspects as Victor Brown Borromeo, 46, a resident of 722 Rest Heaven street in Cavite City; Robert Jabinal Conge, 42, of Legaspi Wawa, Binakayan in Kawit; Dante Barlos Brondial, 40, of Barangay De Ocampo in Trece Martires City; and Julian de Guzman Elloso, 39, of Barangay Gabino, Maderan, Samaka Site in GMA.

The four were allegedly recruiting NBI agents and selling fake NBI ID cards for P1,500 to P3,000 each in Cavite.

The NBI received information that the group was to conduct an “NBI operation” at a fastfood restaurant in Bacoor, Cavite last Sept. 18, prompting an entrapment operation.

An unlicensed .38 caliber revolver with ammunition was seized from the suspects.
