F/V Kerby was seized and its captain Dante Manalo, 43; and his companions Joven Nopia, 23; and Eric Veran ,31, also of Barangay San Lorenzo, were arrested in another operation.

Another fishing boat locally known as “kalansisi,” was also seized for using fine nets in the prohibited portion of the coastal waters. The police identified its captain as Tiotimo Allego, 56; and his personnel Manuelito Cabantoc, 61, and Romeo Bituin, 52.

Police said the arrested fishermen were released on bail as charges for violation of the Fishery Code of the Philippines and local ordinances were filed against them.
