2 Pangasinan policemen win search for 2012 COPS

- Eva Visperas - The Philippine Star

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – Two Pangasinan policemen were among the winners of this year’s search for the Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS) launched by the Metrobank Foundation Inc.

Gov. Amado Espino Jr. lauded Superintendent Belli Bagaas Tamayo and Police Officer 3 Eduardo de Guzman, who won the Police Commissioned Officer and Police Non-Commissioned Officers category, respectively.

It can be recalled that Santiago rescued unhurt two children in the hands of a hostage taker inside a passenger jeepney at the North Luzon Expressway in May last year.

Metrobank Foundation president Aniceto Sobrepeña said Bagaas and De Guzman will be feted along with the winners of the search for the Ten Outstanding Philippine Soldiers (TOPS) and Outstanding Teachers during the 50th anniversary of Metrobank on Sept. 5.

The awardees will receive a trophy and cash prize.
