CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines  – Police now consider as solved the massacre of a family of four in Balagtas, Bulacan last Aug. 16 with the filing of parricide and multiple murder charges against the eldest son of one of the victims last Tuesday.

In a report here, Senior Superintendent Fernando Mendez, Bulacan police director, identified the suspect as Armando Roque, son of victim Rodrigo Roque, 77.

The elder Roque, his daughter Cristina Sta. Ana, 42, and her children Corrine Joy, 12, and Christian, 10, were found dead with multiple stab wounds and smashed with hard objects inside their house at St. Francis Subdivision in Barangay Borol 2nd, Balagtas town last Aug. 16.

The young Roque though is still at large.

A month ago, police said father and son had a quarrel after the former discovered the latter’s dishonest acts, resulting in his termination as driver and debt collector of the family’s rice milling business.

A breakthrough in the case came when witnesses surfaced and tagged the young Roque as the suspect.
