3 Chinese nabbed for illegal mining in Camarines Norte

LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines  – Three Chinese nationals, together with their three local helpers, were arrested last Thursday for illegal mining on the Busig-on River in Labo, Camarines Norte, police said.

Superintendent Efren Capoas Tublan, Labo town police chief, identified those arrested as Zeng Qing, 30; Yang Da Yong, 37; Zang Xu Liu, 45; Bernard Casiano, 34; Jed Vincent Cereno, 21; and Noriel Rocas, 21.

Tublan said the six were apprehended for mining on the river without any permit or authority to operate from the authorities.
