ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Two kidnapped Chinese businessmen are now reportedly under the custody of the Abu Sayyaf in Basilan, a police official said.
Senior Superintendent Ruben Cariaga, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, cited intelligence reports that Yuankai Lin and Jian Luo, who were seized in Kabasalan town, Zamboanga Sibugay last June 4, were brought by their kidnappers who have links with the Abu Sayyaf, to Basilan.
The kidnappers have reportedly demanded $5-million ransom for the safe release of the two Chinese nationals.
