Binay to swear in partymates in Roxas bailiwick
MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Jejomar Binay will lead the oath-taking of new members of the Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan in the hometown of his rival, Transportation and Communications Secretary Manuel Roxas II, in Roxas City tomorrow.
Binay, who is scheduled to return to the country today from a trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the United States, will embark on a three-day visit to Western Visayas to hold a dialogue with local officials of Capiz, Iloilo, Aklan and Antique.
The Vice President will be accompanied by the members of the United Nationalist Alliance – new recruit Zambales Rep. Mitos Magsaysay, businessman Joey de Venecia and former congressman Rodolfo Plaza.
Binay’s Western Visayas trip will start in Roxas City and in Dao, Dumarao and Mambusao towns in Capiz tomorrow; Nabas, Banga and Numancia in Aklan Thursday; and Valderrama, Bugasong and Hamtic in Antique on Friday.
Binay will lead a medical and dental mission, meet with senior citizens and non-government organizations and beneficiaries of the Vice President’s scholarship program.
