WFP gets P160-M USAID donation

MANILA, Philippines - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has donated some P160 million ($3.75 million) to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) for the expansion of its disaster preparedness and response program in the country.
The WFP said the new funding from USAID will enable it to expand its disaster preparedness activities to the cities of Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan and Davao.
The project is currently being conducted in Sorsogon, Benguet, Cagayan, and Laguna.
