2 mild quakes recorded in Bicol
MANILA, Philippines - Two mild earthquakes hit parts of the Bicol region yesterday but did not cause damage or injury, state seismologists said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quakes of magnitudes 3.8 and 2.0 occurred at around 11:50 a.m. and 12:01 p.m., respectively.
The first tremor struck at 11:50 a.m. with its epicenter traced at six kilometers southwest of Bato, Camarines Sur. It was recorded at intensity 2 in Guinobatan, Albay.
The second tremor, meanwhile, was traced some 14 kms southwest of Bato. Phivolcs said the quake was not felt.
