P8 wage hike in CAR

Manila, Philippines -  Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said yesterday the wage board of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) has approved an P8 increase in the daily wage of workers in the region.

Non-agricultural workers in Baguio City, and the Benguet towns of La Trinidad, Tuba, Itogon and Sablan will now get P280 per day, and those in the agricultural sector, P262.

In Mt. Province, Abra, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Apayao, non-agricultural workers and agricultural workers will get P263 and P246, respectively.
