Businessman hurt in Batangas ambush

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A 38-year-old businessman was seriously wounded in an ambush in Batangas City Thursday afternoon, police said.

The victim, Renante Antenor, was driving his Honda Civic on his way home when he was waylaid by men aboard a Toyota Corolla at around 5:45 p.m. in Barangay Sampaga, Batangas City, police said. He sustained several gunshot wounds.

Probers were still clueless on the slay attempt on Antenor.
