Agusan Sur dad gunned down

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – The number one municipal councilor of Sta. Josefa, Agusan del Sur was shot dead by three men while attending a village fiesta celebration in his town last Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The victim, councilor Gregorio Plaza Sr., according to the police, was talking to friends near a sari-sari store owned by one Cayetano Gerafusco when the gunmen appeared and fired at him, and fled on a motorcycle.

The three suspects were later arrested after a police chase. Two of them were identified as Rolando Entic Duyan and Luisito Ybañez Entic, both 30; the third suspect is a 15-year-old.
